Why oh why would you do this? I have no words.

My Wet Dream Came True
Peter Buck joined the Decemberists on stage in New York and they played REM's Begin the Begin from Lifes Rich Pageant...and now I can die happy.

Would Jizz In My Pants Be An Appropriate Term?
October 2, 2009. Martin Scorsese will release a new movie called Shutter Island starring Leonardo DiCaprio. I will be at the movie theater watching said movie.
Andrew Sullivan Is Right
Something is happening in Iran. If you don't think it doesn't directly correlate with the election of Barack Obama and his outreach to Muslims rather than the middle finger the GOP has extended then you're kidding yourself.

Zack Attack
In Jimmy Fallon's quest to reunite the Saved By the Bell cast he had Mark Paul Gosselaar on Late Night. Only Mark didn't show up. Zack Morris did. It turns out Zack Morris is real and he had to change his name to Mark Paul Gosselaar when he went into acting. It is one of the funnier things I've seen in a while and covers topics from whom he moved to California with and what happened to Kelly Kapowski and himself. It even includes a live "Friends Forever" song by Zack Attack the band.
Feast your eyes.

Art Is Expensive
I'm a pretty big fan of classical art. Most modern art is lost on me, but I don't turn down a good exhibit at the Portland Art Museum very often. Please forgive them that the modern wing is named after the family who owns the famed truck stop Jubitz. Truckers and their ilk are allowed to like art too!
I ran across this story this morning and I thought it was really interesting.
This man lived in his house with tens of millions in stolen art for years and nobody was the wiser. I wish there was a legal way for me to have $10,000,000 in art in my house legally. Hell I'd be happy if someone would give me $10,000 for art. I can think of a few things I'd really like to have.
In other news, give it up Cindy. We won, his party paid dearly, his cronies may be prosecuted. You're just starting to look crazy and vindictive. We all know you hurt. It's time you let it go or you're going to die a sad, lonely, and eaten up inside.

The FBI says millions of dollars worth of stolen manuscripts and other antiquities found in the home of a suburban Chicago collectibles dealer are being sent back to Italy.
At a news conference Monday, FBI officials said some of the items date back to the 4th Century B.C. Authorities say the collection includes a document in the handwriting of fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.
The FBI estimated that the entire collection is worth up to $10 million on the black market -- much more if sold legally.

My Awesome Day
All too often I fail to post about how my life is more awesome than yours. It is. Here is why.
Yesterday I went to work. I usually rate Thursdays somewhere around a guaranteed 9.5 out of a scale of 10 on the universally recognized suckability scale. Yesterday’s suckitude was only around a 5.2. That’s pretty good all in all. Directly after work I had to get downtown ASAP to watch the Timbers host the sissy Montreal Impact. This is what happened.
I love games involving bad weather. You only get the die hards and the energy is awesome.
After that I had to head over to the Wonder Ballroom ASAP to catch Camera Obscura whom I absolutely adore. Unfortunately we missed a little bit from the first of their show. I shouldn’t have stuck around for the win celebration at PGE. Here…adore with me.
